How it runs

First

A small closed group

Ten to twenty people on the earliest builds, rough edges and all. Fixing what they find comes before anything new.

Then

A Steam Playtest

Once the Steam page is up: a separate test version on Steam, opened to the list a wave at a time.

Then

The Steam demo

Open to everyone. The people on this list will have shaped it.

What I'm asking

Play a build for an hour or two, then fill in a short form: what worked, what didn't, what rang false. Every build comes with a list of what's changed and what I already know is broken, so your time goes on what I don't know yet.

If the game breaks, it shows you what it noted about the crash, line by line, and only sends it if you press the button.

If you've served

Veterans' eyes on the drills, the radio, the casualty chain and the rules of engagement are worth a great deal here. The question below is optional, and it's only used to make sure each test group has a few of you in it.

The playtest list

Put me on the list

Processor, graphics card and memory, as near as you know. It helps me test on slow machines as well as fast ones.

Kit sends the playtest emails for me and will ask you to confirm your address first. Your answers stay with your sign-up, so I can pick a good mix of people for each build. Unsubscribe from any email, any time. Privacy.

Already played it?

The free playtest in your browser has its own way to tell me: SEND FEEDBACK, on its menu, its pause menu and the end screen. It fills in the build and where you were, so you only have to write what happened. Play it here.
